1. Please explain your building experience
with G’Sell Contracting, Inc. as far as communication from beginning
of construction to closing of the home. Was the builder flexible
with your specific needs of the home? i.e. Enlarging Master Bath,
choices of options, etc. Steve and Jean Davis, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO Our experience building our home with G’Sell went smoothly from start to finish. Everyone always had time to explain, offer ideas, and was willing to show us existing home so we could get a better idea of what we were thinking about. Larry and Pat Valenti We were very pleased with Ryan's "hands-on" approach. We saw him several times a week at the different building sites, and we were able to discuss specific details with him. We felt he was truthful and straightforward. Jerry and Judy Diefenback, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO We had a very good experience with G'Sell Contracting from the first showing of lots to showing completed homes for ideas of what to put in ours. Bill and Pat Burnett, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO We had friends who had warned us that dealing with a contractor to build a new house would be a nightmare and that contractors always wanted to do it "their" way - no matter what you wanted to do. We had never had a house built before, but we had definite ideas about what we wanted to do. We were leery going into this project. Thankfully for us, working with G'Sell Contracting was a genuine pleasure and a great experience all the way around. Before we even started on the interior plans to the house we selected, we absolutely wanted a specific lot and it had to have a basement with an outside entrance. Not having that would have been a "deal-breaker" for us. While the lot we wanted would not accommodate a back "walk out basement"...and we were ready to walk away because of this...Ryan G'Sell and Frank Ciliberto of Prudential worked and worked with us and found a way to incorporate a side walk-out outside exit to the basement. We wanted that doorway to be a wider opening to accommodate bringing large items into the house through the basement. No problem. We wanted walls moved to make some rooms bigger. We wanted some doorways to be wider. We wanted special exhaust fans and wiring in the Master Bathroom. We wanted an outside door off the master bedroom. We wanted a four window bay window in the back of the house. Some were subtle little changes and some were dramatic changes, but all of these changes were done with no problems. As you can see we had many different ideas we wanted to incorporate into the basic available house plan. We also did not want to "break the bank" to do all these things. The give and take and flexibility from Ryan and Frank was tremendous. They worked with us every step of the way to accommodate every change we had. We called them so much during this phase, but all calls were returned promptly, all questions were answered, and all with courtesy and professionalism. This was not an adversarial process, but on in which we made new friends. They did all this and kept the costs reasonable. 2. After closing on your new home, was there service after the sale during the agreed upon time period of warranty work? Please give example. i.e. Touch-up paint needed, etc. Steve and Jean Davis, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO After the sale service was great. We really had very few things to fix. Some paint/stain touch-up work…but everything was taken care of quickly. Larry and Pat Valenti Definitely. As with any new home (and this being our first), there are little things that pop up. We had to have a couple spots touched up with paint, caulking around the master tub, and scratches on a kitchen cabinet. Jerry and Judy Diefenback, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO After we moved in, a few things needed attention...paint touch-up, squeaky floor, etc. All things were taken care of expediently and to our satisfaction. Ron Owensby, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO If a concern was raised, it was addressed by the craftsman the very next day. When Ryan G'Sell cam into my house, he found defects I wasn't aware of. Donna and Paul Westoff, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO We did have some cracks in the walls and ceilings and they carefully patched them up and then came back and painted them. Larry and Sheila Gonzalez - Arnold, MO We had a couple of small things that needed fixing. The contractors were here that same day or the next day. Bill and Pat Burnett, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO While I cannot think of anything that needed fixing, I know that we called several times after closing about trivial matters and each time we were met with friendliness, courtesy, and quick answers to our questions. 3. How would you rate the sales team for G’Sell Contracting Inc. on a scale of 1 – 5, with 5 being the highest possible? Were they knowledgeable with the various floor plans and explanation of options for your new home? Steve and Jean Davis, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO Sales team was great. We wanted a large garage…helped us pick appropriate size first, make some great suggestions, worked with us to fit our work schedule…evening appointments. Definitely a 5! Larry and Pat Valenti We worked with Frank every week. He explained all of the options available and offered suggestions, but never pushed. I like how organized he and his team were and always returned our phone calls. We give them a 5. Jerry and Judy Diefenback, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO The sales team was very helpful. Since this was our first experience at building a new home, we were kind of stressed, but they were very accommodating and helped us easily through all the steps. Ron Owensby, Tenbrook Manor - Arnold, MO 5. Very knowledgeable. A booklet with the options available was helpful. We bought a display home. Ryan G'Sell had the entire house repainted inside and out and we own one of his largest homes. If there is a problem, Ryan is on it. Bill and Pat Burnett, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO On a scale of 1-5, we would rate Frank at a 6! We are amazed at how well he knew every detail on every plan. Simply amazing. And, he remembers everyone's name! 4. Would you recommend G’Sell Contracting Inc. to someone for their home-building plans? Steve and Jean Davis, Maxville Gardens - Arnold, MO Most definitely! We are very satisfied with the quality and workmanship. We’ve talked to workers and subcontractors and they answered our questions, explained everything, and made us feel comfortable. Larry and Pat Valenti Absolutely! I'm working on another friend right now, and our friends of almost 40 years built here. It is so fun having them enjoy their new home as well.
